How to solder copper pipe and fittings

Thanks to ViewDo for this clear introduction on how to make a good job of soldering copper pipe to fittings. Recommended viewing if you want to make a condenser for distilling methanol.

Where he refers to water, the same goes for oil or biodiesel. NEVER solder with a gas flame near methanol, oil, or other flammable materials, even if they are in containers.

Your joints will be easier to make if the surfaces to be soldered are free of oil.
